Statement of Policy Highlights for Authors Highlights for Reviewers Highlights for Section Supervisor Highlights for Publishers Article Processing Charges (APC) Information Statement of Policy The Dialogo Journal is the one publication by DIALOGO PUBLISHING HOUSE seeks to promote critical, hermeneutical, historical, and constructive inquiry into a dialogue between Science & Theology. While expecting articles to advance scholarship in their respective fields in a lucid, compelling, and fresh way, the Publisher is especially interested in research areas with a broad range of implications for scholars of theology/religion, or cross-disciplinary relevance. The Editors welcome submissions in topics related both to theology and science (of any kind), as well as in theology, religious ethics, and philosophy of religion; it may also accept articles that approach the role of religion in culture and society from a historical, sociological, psychological, linguistic, or artistic standpoint (see the particularities of every Session). Articles that present highly specialized research in limited areas of inquiry may be considered provided that their findings, in the Editors' judgment, have significance for a broader readership. Submissions may not be concurrently under consideration for publication elsewhere. The Publisher requires the assignment of copyright on journal articles and book reviews. The copyright of any published contributions remains with their authors, which, in consideration of publication, needs to be specified by the authors in the Copyright form, giving the Publisher the right to publish, index, and publicly display content. Ethical publishing standards exist to ensure high-quality scientific publications, public confidence in scientific findings, and that people receive credit for their work and ideas. Significant parts of the policies described below adhere to a growing body of guidelines provided by industry organizations such as de Gruyter and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Our policies and ethics are meant to promote integrity in research and publication. For a snapshot of how we uphold ethical standards in publishing, look for our visual Publishing Guide. Highlights for Authors Reporting standards: Authors should present their results clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. Authors should describe their methods clearly and unambiguously so that others can confirm their findings. Subscription: Each author may subscribe for Dialogo Journal 1 paper/ issue as a single author and the other two/issue as a coauthor without additional payment; the subscription fee will be paid per author, not for each paper, in the limit of 2 (two) papers. Additional papers as co-authors (more than one paper) or as a single author (more than two papers) will be charged an additional fee. Also, you have to know that Publisher's policy for publishing two different papers of the same author(s) should be subscribed to different sections in the Journal. Originality, plagiarism, and acknowledgment of sources: Authors should adhere to publication requirements that submitted work is original, is not plagiarized, and has not been published elsewhere - fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable. If an author has used the work and/or words of others, this original is been appropriately cited or quoted and accurately reflects individuals’ contributions to the work and its reporting. Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review and should, in any event, be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication. Ethics: Authors should only submit work papers conducted ethically and responsibly and that comply with all relevant legislation. Any attempt of direct accusation, of frivolity, of insults, or other unfounded accusation are NOT permitted both in the dialogue of the conference and the text of the papers presented; authors and participants who use indecent language or patronage attitude will be warned and then excluded from the conference without the return of money paid for participation. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed. Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have contributed significantly to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where others have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication: An author should not generally publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently constitutes unacceptable publishing behavior. Fundamental errors in published works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. Ownership of the Paper: Authors for open access articles should sign an exclusive license agreement, where authors have copyright but license exclusive rights in their article to the publisher. Consider filling in the form here. Highlights for Reviewers Scientific quality: Peer review is an essential part of scientific publication. Based on the Reviewers' decisions and comments, they have selected papers for final presentation and publication. If necessary, authors are asked to make revisions to their submissions. Promptness: Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified to review the chosen manuscript or knows its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse him/her-self from the review process. Confidentiality: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor. Standards of Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments. Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that the authors have not cited. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper they have personal knowledge. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts with conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
